Overnight activity

Public safety responders, including those sent by the Walhalla Fire Department, made quick work last night of a search and rescue operations at the Stumphouse Mountain Park.  Two people became temporarily unaccounted for during an outing.  But they were located safely about 9 o’clock last night at the bottom of Issaqueena Falls, after a search and rescue operation that started 45 minutes early.  Two fires were reported overnight.  Walhalla Fire Department attended to a car fire on Freedom Drive near SC 183/North Katherine Street.  Seneca firemen were called around midnight to the Utica Community where someone apparently tossed a burning chair outside of a home on Goddard Avenue.
