Norman Crain

Westminster – Norman Douglas Crain, 76, widower of the late Linda Crain, passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at his residence.

 

   Born in Anderson County, he was the son of the late Elgie Brooks and Sadie Bridwell Crain.  Mr. Crain was a graduate of Westminster High School, a 1966 graduate of Anderson College and a 1970 graduate of Clemson University. He was the former Oconee County Supervisor, the owner and operator of Crain’s Auction Barn and a veteran of the United States Army Reserves. He also was a member of Clearmont Baptist Church.

 

    Survivors include a son, Keith Crain and wife Jennifer of Seneca; daughters, Tammy Fodor and husband Greg of Seneca, and Kristy Hood and husband Jason of Walhalla; brothers, Larry Crain of Seneca and Gary Crain of Westminster; sister, Caroline Ward of Westminster; and four grandchildren, Paige and Josh Hood, and Lana and Noelle Crain.

 

   In addition to his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Linda Gail Crain.

 

   A funeral service will be held 4 pm, Saturday, May 26, 2018 at the Chapel of Sandifer Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 4:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Heritage Memorial Gardens.
