Big ticket spending items in front of county leaders
Oconee County Council will sit down to an agenda Tuesday night containing a pair of big ticket spending items. Each approximates a half million dollars. The council will consider recommendations to spend $446,093.83 to buy a new 9-1-1 Center radio console system from Avtec of Lexington and $488,870.00 to Thomas and Hutton of Greenville for engineering services at the Industry and Technology Park. In a closed session following the regular meeting, the council will discuss an economic development matter related to Project Goggles and receive legal advice and discuss a contract covering 58 acres of county property on the Sandifer Boulevard. The meeting at Pine Street will start at 6 o’clock.
