Clemson student wins top scholarship

A Clemson student from Daniel High School has won a scholarship valued at $10 thousand—the largest offered by the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers.  Anna Schleifer was hoping for a $5 thousand scholarship when she sent her application to the Atlanta-based engineering society.  And, now, Schleifer, a 2010 Daniel High graduate, expects to graduate from Clemson in May next year with no debt, thanks in part to the scholarship.  Ginger Scoggins, representing the engineering society, said, “Anna is an impressive young woman.  We’re excited that she is interested in our profession and that she already has some real-world experience.”
