Law enforcement presence at popular outdoor spot

Oconee County deputies, by design, are spending a lot of time this summer at Fall Creek Landing on Lake Keowee.  In the estimation of Sheriff Mike Crenshaw, the officers’ presence there is needed because of increasing numbers of complaints.  Fall Creek is one of Oconee’s more populated warm weather attractions.  Unfortunately, according to Crenshaw, it attracts an undesirable element, much of which comes from outside the county, who spoil it for those who’ve set out to have a good time without breaking the law.  Crenshaw says there have been many instances of drinking and drug use and his officers, so far this summer and spring, have been busy writing tickets.
