Judge decides authority exceeded

A federal judge has decided the administration of President Barack Obama exceeded its authority with an executive order on immigration, and now immigrants have had to cancel their plans to apply for work permits. The President believes he’ll prevail on appeal, but Jeff Duncan, the South Carolina Third District Congressman, applauds the court ruling. In a statement, Duncan said: “I strongly support Judge Hansen’s decision to issue an injunction. I am hopeful that the courts will keep this injunction in place while this ruling ultimately makes it way to the US Supreme Court, and in the meantime encourage all of my colleagues in Congress to stand firm in using every legislative means at our disposal to stop the President’s executive actions from moving forward….”
