Seneca loses 200 thousand gallons of water

A water line gave way near Seneca and now a new patch of asphalt covers highway 28 north of Parkway Products—to show where the crews of Light and Water made their repairs early yesterday morning. Bob Faires, utilities superintendent, says the mishap cost Seneca about 200 thousand gallons of water. Faires described what happened as the failure of an old 10-inch asbestos cement line—a typical part of an aging system of infra-structure.
