What to take to the polls?

You’ve heard the expression, “Don’t leave home without it.”  In South Carolina, “it” applies to a photo ID when voting.  All voters wishing to cast ballots Tuesday next week in the state’s primary elections must display a photo identification–whether it’s a driver’s license, DMV ID card or a U-S passport.  Another factoid to which the state Election Commission calls attention is the regulation that forbids double-voting.  In other words, you must choose to vote in one party’s primary only–Democratic or Republican, but not both.  Cross-voting is allowed Tuesday.  That is, a Democrat may vote in the Republican primary–and vice versa.
