Christine Durham

Westminster – Christine Thomason Durham, 91, wife of the late Joseph (JC) C. Durham, passed away on Sunday, August 4^th, 2024 at the Prisma Cottingham Hospice House surrounded by her loving family.

 

Born on April 27^th, 1933 in Anderson, South Carolina, Christine was the daughter of the late George Washington Thomason and Mary McMahan Thomason Brown. Christine worked many years at Jantzen and later retired from Valenite. She loved to work in her flower beds and yards, and she was the last surviving member of her family. 

 

Christine is survived by her son, Douglas Durham; daughters, Cathy Martin, Brenda Cater (Bill), and Elizabeth Alexander; eleven grandchildren, and nineteen great grandchildren, and eight great great- grandchildren; and her beloved little dog, Snug.

 

Christine is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son, Kenneth Durham; her daughter, Jackie Roberts; and her brothers, Joe Thomason, and Earl Thomason.

 

A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, August 7^th, 2024 at Rock Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
