William “Bill” Moon

 

Seneca, SC—William “Bill” Moon, 82, husband of Carol Moon, passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2026 at Cottingham Hospice House, surrounded by his family.

 

Born in Rock Hill, SC, Mr. Moon was the son of the late Charles Elford Moon and Julia Adams Moon. He proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Army Reserves. Mr. Moon was a member of Mizpah Baptist Church in Florence, SC, where he and his wife of 60 years established their roots. Known as a true jack of all trades, he dedicated many years to working in the wholesale florist industry, where he took on a wide range of responsibilities before eventually retiring.

 

In addition to his wife, Mr. Moon is survived by his sons: Tim Moon (Marie) of West Union, SC, Robbie Moon (Judy) of Lufkin, TX, and Jason Moon (Meagan) of Atlanta, GA; and grandsons: Evan, Isaiah, Eli, and Jaxon Moon.

 

In addition to his parents, Mr. Moon was preceded in death by a sister: Louise Whitesides; and brother: Dickie Moon.

 

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, April 19, 2026 at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Walhalla.
