Westminster to look for new legal representation

Westminster is in the market for a new city attorney.  The city today announced a parting of the ways with Andrew Holliday, city attorney since 2018. Announcement from Kevin Bronson, city administrator, reads in part: “This decision was made in alignment with Westminster’s commitment to its core values and strategic vision.  As a community-focused organization, we believe it is essential that all leadership roles reflect our values of integrity, transparency, and collaboration.  After careful assessment, it was determined that this transition was necessary to ensure that our organization goals continue to be met effectively and consistently.”  Later Holliday released the following statement: “I am sorry that my time as the City Attorney for the City of Westminster has come to an end.  The City Council has made such great progress in the last several years.  I believe they will continue to make great progress without me.  It is unfortunate that my time came to an end at a meeting that was scheduled while I was out of town and as a result of substantial misrepresentations by the City Administrator, as I was not present to speak on my own behalf.”
