Westminster area man’s arrest is second in same case

The arrest yesterday of a Westminster area man is the second in a case that started with a business burglary last winter near Seneca.  Arrest warrants allege that Johnathan Douglas Swanson Sr. broke into the Tree South building and stole tree-cutting equipment worth in excess of $10 thousand.  It’s alleged 46-year old Swanson also took a 2020 Ford F-550 from the Wells Highway business.  That stolen truck was found submerged in a creek near the Jenkins Bridge Road.  Defendant Swanson was also charged with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.  A co-defendant in the Tree South burglary investigation, 24-year old Kenneth Charles Goss, was arrested previously on charges of grand larceny and burglary third degree.
