HS BASKETBALL (GIRLS): West-Oak defeats Landrum 46-26 in the coaching debut of Warrior coach Natosha Rucker. Warriors face Liberty on Friday. Highlands defeats Tamassee-Salem 45-39 in overtime. The Eagles travel to Oconee Christian Academy on Thursday.

HS BASKETBALL (BOYS): Seneca downs Greater Atlanta Christian 80-67 behind 29 points from Xzavier Barmore. West-Oak defeats Landrum 74-65. Connor Smith led the way with 23 points. Highlands wins over Tamassee-Salem 53-44.

MLB: The Los Angeles Dodgers introduced Dave Roberts as their new manager, and he will become the first minority manager of the team that broke baseball’s color barrier.

NBA: The Philadelphia 76ers broke the longest losing streak in major U.S. professional sports-winless in 28 games dating to last season – by defeating Kobe Bryant and the Lakers 103-91 for their first win of the season.

NBA: John Wall scored a season high 35 points and the Wizards handed the Cavaliers their first home loss of the season, 97-85.
