Weather Related Closings & Cancellations

If you have a cancellation due to Winter Storm Cora, please email it to [email protected]. If you are making church-related cancellation decisions early on Sunday morning, you can still send an email, or call Tom Rusk at 864-638-6810 during “Golden Corner Gospel” from 6-8 am.

The following cancellations have been received:

 

College Street Baptist Church in Walhalla will have worship service only at 10:30 am. No Sunday School.

Snow Creek Baptist Church, 200 Snow Creek Church, Seneca, SC 29678
864~972-7061 will only have one service Sunday, January 12, 2025 at 2pm.,

 

The Sunday Morning services at Toxaway Baptist Church has been cancelled.

Salem First Baptist Church has canceled church services for Sunday, 1/12/25

No Sunday services at Chauga Baptist Church, Westminster

Soul’s Harbor Baptist church in Westminster SC all Sunday services canceled.

 

The SE Championship Bullriding event at T. Ed Garrison Arena in Clemson was cancelled Friday night. However it is still ON for Saturday night at 8 pm.

The Lighthouse Church in Westminster 2nd Saturday night Singing is canceled due to the weather.

Walhalla city offices are closed.  Public safety crews, however, are active or on-call.  Rec basketball games Friday and Saturday will be rescheduled.  Due dates for city utility bills have been extended to 5 pm Monday (January 13).  Payments continue online or by phone.  Protect faucets, outdoor pipes and pipes in unheated areas.  Dripping water from the farthest faucet from your main valve during the freeze should keep water moving the pipes and help prevent the lines from freezing.  In the event of water line bursts, contact the on-call operator at 864/499-4162.

Tri-County Tech is closed Friday.  No classes and employees should not report to work. The deadline to register for spring classes has been moved to 5 pm Monday, January 13.

Golden Corner Food Pantry will be closed on Friday and Saturday.

The First Baptist Church of Walhalla has canceled all Sunday services.

All Oconee County Recycling Centers, the Landfill, the Transfer Station, and the Solid Waste Office will be closed on Friday. We anticipate reopening the Recycling Centers and Landfill at 10:00 AM on Saturday, though this may be subject to change depending on weather conditions.
