Walhalla Annexation Ordinance Sparks Controversy

Walhalla’s city council passed a controversial annexation ordinance last night with a 6-1 vote, requiring new city water customers to enter an annexation covenant. A large audience expressed their opposition, with one resident presenting a petition against the move and another urging the council to prioritize water quality over spending.

Council member Grant Keehn, who has a pending lawsuit against the city regarding the matter, cast the sole dissenting vote.
