Two additional arrests in Foxwood Hills shooting

Two more Oconeeans have been arrested as part of the sheriff’s office investigation of Wednesday’s shooting in the Foxwood Hills subdivision at Lake Hartwell. According to the announcement, Regina Leigh Mote and Timothy Wayne Rogers have been charged with accessory after the fact of a felony. According to arrest warrants and based on what the sheriff’s office says is evidence gathered, Mote and Rogers rendered assistance to Devan Chavis Bennett knowing that Bennett had committed the crime of attempted murder.  The two arrested were identified as Bennett’s biological mother and step-father.  Apprehended in Stephens County, Bennett is faces charges of attempted murder of an un-identified woman at Foxwood Hills’ Spartan Drive Wednesday afternoon.
