Trackhoe theft occurred in rural Pickens County

In recent days, a valuable piece of machinery was stolen from a wooded location off SC 11 in Pickens County.  It’s an orange 2021 Hitachi 135 excavator.  The theft occurred in the woods off highway 11 in the vicinity of Sunset community. Because of an accident, the owner was forced to temporarily leave the trackhoe, and the theft of it apparently occurred sometime before Wednesday this week.  Pickens County Sheriff’s Office is among agencies investigating.  If you can provide any information that leads to the recovery, please contact Pickens County Sheriff’s Office.
