To be the first to qualify on Monday

The first term Walhalla Councilman Kenny Johns vows to be the first to qualify Monday when the books open for this year’s Oconee municipal elections.  Johns’ announcement to run again for city council, in part, reads the following:  “Although Johns wasn’t born in Walhalla (I was born in Hampton County, SC the home of my late father), Walhalla is my home and I have loved serving the people of Walhalla and Oconee County and I would love to continue to do so.  Even through my wife’s medical event on our way to Ireland and back, I have continued to serve in best interests of the citizens of Walhalla.”  Johns is a former mayor and county probate judge.
