Timothy “Timmy” Alton Brown

Timothy Alton Brown, known to friends as Timmy, passed away on Thursday, May 4, 2023, at Greenville Memorial Hospital. Born on June 20, 1960, he was the son of the late Hack and Mary Lou White Brown.

In the early 90’s Tim found his place in the world when he came to live at the Tribble Center and quickly became a cherished part of the community. While at Tribble he had the opportunity to work in several locations and over the years held jobs at places such as Steak N Waffle, Big Lots, Bilo, Park Place, and Schneider Electric to name just a few.

Tim had several interests and for many years he participated in the Area 13 Special Olympics where he earned multiple ribbons for the events, he competed in. He was also an avid collector of remote-control cars and enjoyed staying home watching TV and spending time with his friends and housemates, David Pursell, Joe Hicks, and Brain Compton.

In addition to the multitude of friends and loved ones at his Tribble Family, Timmy is survived by siblings; James, Danny, Roger, Doug, Barbara Anne, Jeanette, Brenda, and Martha.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, in the chapel of Mountain View Funeral Home – Seneca from 1:00 p.m. -2:00 p.m. with a service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Anderson, South Carolina.
