Thrice weekly COVID-19 tests coming to Westminster

Starting next week, a Georgia-based company will stage COVID-19 tests in Westminster to individuals without insurance and to cash-paying customers.  The company COVID Consortium plans to test those who come to the parking lot of the Westminster Community Depot starting Wednesday next week.  The company works with multiple labs and is a recipient of federal monies to be used to provide tests to the public.  Why Westminster?  Well, a Westminster group expressed interest in creating greater opportunity for testing.  Days for testing will be Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.  Methods of testing will include a nasal swab test or a finger prick antibody test.  Complete details of this project from the COVID Consortium’s Dino Dakuras can be heard today on 101.7/WGOG NEWS, as well as on this Sunday’s ‘Community Sound Off” which will air during the noon hour Sunday.
