Storms Knocked Out Power for Thousands in Carolinas

Thousands of Duke Energy customers across the Carolinas were without power following last night’s storms. The utility reported significant outages in our local area, with 2,076 customers affected in Anderson County, 10,885 in Greenville County, 811 in Pickens County, and 5,288 in Spartanburg County. Duke Energy said power would be restored for most customers by 8:00 a.m. today, and crews worked diligently to meet that target.
