Special Seneca qualifying will be in January

A special election to fill the opening on the 8-member Seneca City Council will take place March 12, 2019, according to Joy Scharich, the county director of elections. And those who aspire to fill what’ll remain in the unexpired term of Anthony Herman Smith officially file their candidacies between January 11 and January 22. Campaign signs in the windows of The Spot on Ramcat Alley indicate that Stuart Pohl will look to return to the council by entering the election. The special March 12 election will decide one council seat only. Scharich says Seneca’s next scheduled regular General Election will be 2020.
