South Carolina Adoption Day

So far, in 2024, South Carolina has recorded 441 adoptions statewide.  And today is the state’s Adoption Day.  DSS expects to complete 62 additional adoptions and more are scheduled by December 31.  As Adoption Month began, 210 children in the foster care system were legally free to be adopted and awaited a permanent home.
