Software enhancements ahead for Seneca
Software enhancements are on the way to Seneca, and the upgrade will affect in-person transactions Wednesday, December 4. Danielle Smith, city finance director, says the changes to the city’s accounting/ERP systems will allow data migration to cloud-based services — in place of data stored on site in computer servers. Seneca City Hall will be open as usual, December 4. Customer service will take phone calls for emergency issues, but routine work orders will be held to the following day. If utility customers wish to pay in person December 4, customers must bring their account number and the amount owed. Only cash or check will be accepted for that one day only. Building permits and business licenses may be obtained in City Hall December 4, but those customers may receive handwritten receipts. If you have questions, please call the city finance office at 864/885-2700.
