SHELBY GENEVIEVE “GINNEY” RAMEY GREEN  

Walhalla, SC — Shelby Genevieve “Ginney” Ramey Green, 83, wife of the late Roy Marvin Green, of Walhalla, passed away on Monday, October 28, 2024, at Keowee Square Assisted Living.

 

A native of Oconee County, SC, Mrs. Green was the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Marilyn Powell Ramey. She retired from Clemson University serving in the Post Office. She was an active member of Scenic Heights Baptist Church, serving in various capacities. Ginney was a caring and loving wife, mother, grandma and friend, who will be remembered for her humor and quick wit.

 

Mrs. Green is survived by her son: Keith M. Green (Robin) of West Union, SC; brother: James Robert Ramey (Diane) of Seneca, SC; sister: Carolyn Littleton (David) of Walhalla, SC; grandchildren: Jessica Green of Garner, NC and Andy Neely of Winston Salem, NC; and sister-in-law: Shirley Grogan of Walhalla, SC.

 

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Green was preceded in death by her sisters: Lois Addis and Doris Patterson; and her sister-in-law: Louise Smith (Ralph).

 

The family will hold a private inurnment at a later date.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to College Street Baptist Church, Attn: Food Bank, P.O. Box 340, Walhalla, SC 29691.

 

The family is at their respective homes.
