Seneca’s Christmas show to incorporate past scenery

As far back as the middle of the 20th century Christmas time in Seneca was synonymous with the window decorations at the anchor location for a popular 5 and 10 variety store.  City officials planning the 2020 Seneca Christmas Show have recovered a nugget from the past to help stir holiday emotions.  The Santa Claus figure that appeared in the window of Harper’s 5 and 10 has been acquired and is getting a fix-up before it is placed in the building window for all to see.  Mayor Dan Alexander is grateful to Mike Harper from the Harper family for making ‘Ol Santa available.  Another addition to this year’s Seneca Christmas Show will be window decorations in the former Kimbrell’s Furniture building.
