Seneca shooting suspect in custody in N. Carolina

The woman sought by the Seneca police in the investigation of a shooting one week ago is in custody today in western North Carolina.  Seneca Chief Covington says Kendal Ann Ellis was found hiding this morning in a motel room inside the Cherokee reservation. There, the tribal police say, Ellis possessed a handgun when apprehended.  The Seneca police identified Ellis as their suspect in a Friday, July 24 wounding of a male on N. Stribling Street.  A male, not identified by name, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and eventually was hospitalized in Greenville.
