Seneca authorizes a pair of new passenger buses

Seneca City Council voted last night to direct bus maker Proterra to build and deliver a pair of passenger buses that’ll run routes to and from the new Oconee County campus of Tri-County Technical College. Seneca is relying on already-approved outside funding, from the state and federal governments, to pay for the buses. The new buses will be confined to the college campus routes, as well as some re-configuring of routes in and around the city. There had been talk to run buses to other parts of the county, including the Walhalla and Westminster areas. But Scott Moulder, Seneca administrator, says, for now, that’s not happening.
