Saturday’s COVID numbers in the state (and Oconee)

Sixty-three more South Carolinians, including an elderly Oconeean, have perished from the rampaging virus, according to the Saturday report from the state health agency.  DHEC’s numbers included these:  3,435 new cases–83 of which are in Oconee County. The elderly Oconeean mentioned died Sunday, January 17.  According to 101.7/WGOG NEWS’s unofficial county, that was the 80th Oconeean to die from COVID-19. oF 14,493 test results received statewide, the percent positive was 23.7%.
