SARAH WILLIAMS ROGERS
Westminster– Sarah Williams Rogers, 98, wife of the late Ray Ervin Rogers, passed away peacefully, on Monday, November 6th, 2023 at Lila Doyle Post-Acute, where she had been a residence since January 2015.
A native of Oconee County, she was the daughter of the late Raymond W. and Sarah Vastine Dickerson Williams. Sarah was employed at JP Stevens in Clemson for over 37 years and worked in the quality control and finishing department. She was a founding member of Faith Baptist Church, where she was a part of WMU, Sr. Jolly Friends, a choir member, and a Sunday school worker.
Sarah was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by her niece and caregiver, Rachel Burton Williams, and many other nephews, nieces, and their families, whom she loved very much. They in return loved her dearly, she inspired everyone who knew her. She will be daily missed and forever remembered.
In addition to her parents and husband, Sarah is preceded in death by her brothers, Wilton Williams, Clayton Williams (Frances), and Ira Williams; sisters, Rosa Lee Williams, Pauline Meredith (John), Bernice Wilson (Clarence), and Faye Phillips (Ralph).
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 10th, 2023 at Sandifer Funeral Home Chapel with a private burial to follow at Oconee Memorial Park. The family will receive friends and family from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at Sandifer Funeral Home.
