Santa and cruise-in headline Salem event

The calendar may read mid to late October, but it’s not too early for the Jolly ‘Ol Man to make an appearance in the small Oconee town of Salem. That’s right, Santa Claus himself will visit Salem tomorrow for pictures and to listen to what kids have on their list for Christmas. The town’s Marti Jennings says parents who bring their children can do Santa and Toys for Tots a big favor by bringing a toy of their own to donate to children who are liable to face a bleak time during this year’s season of joy and sharing. Tomorrow’s event will also feature one of Salem’s cruise-in events in which people show of their wheels.
