Roy Tench

Walhalla, SC– Roy Tench, 84, husband of the late Nora Moore Tench, of Walhalla, passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, at his home.

 

A native of Walhalla, SC, Mr. Tench was the son of the late Guy and Bertha Roberts Tench. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and retired from Clemson University as an Electrician. Mr. Tench was of the Church of God Faith.

 

Mr. Tench is survived by his sister: Darlene Price (Seaborn) of Walhalla, SC; brother-in-law: James L. Smith of Walhalla; nieces: Kathy Diane Smith (Ronald) and Sherry Willer (Charlie); nephew: Doug Tench (Sandra); step-daughter: Debora Lang (James) of Manning, SC; step-grandchildren: Misty Lang Welborn and Bradley Scott Lang (Misti); and step-great-grandchildren: Gage James Welborn, Lexi Lang and Blake Connor Lang.

 

In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Tench was preceded in death by his brothers: Guy Tench, Jr. and James Roy Tench; and sister: Kathleen Smith.

 

A private graveside service will be held at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children, 950 W. Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605.

 

The family is at their respective homes.
