Roy Lee

Westminster- Carl Roy Lee, 68, husband of Judy Dickson Lee, passed away Saturday, September 24^th, 2022 at Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital, after fighting a hard fight to recover from an accident that occurred on August 23^rd, 2022.

 

Born in Oconee County, South Carolina, Roy was son of the W.S. “Dub” Lee and Elsie Smith Lee.

Roy was a logger, who worked lastly with Mike Sheriff Logging. Roy had a great love for his family and a great passion for hunting. Roy was known for his amazing hunting skills, bear hunting, catfishing and his dogs were important to him.  If you knew Roy, you knew he was one to tell a good hunting story, and was always talking about his family, and you seldom saw him not wearing his camouflage. 

 

Roy is survived by his wife, Judy Dickson Lee; his children Mitch Lee of Westminster, daughter, Jamie Lee Loewen (Shane) of Westminster, and Rusty Lee (Alyssa) of Westminster; a sister, Shirley Bennett (Bob) of Westminster; sister in law’s, Elaine Lee and Shelby Lee of Westminster;  twelve grandchildren, Levi Lee (Holly), Alexis Lee, Brandon Lee, Dustin Lee (Chelsea), Summer Lee, Silas Lee, Isabelle Lee, William Loewen, Christopher Loewen, Gracie Lee, Taylor Lee, and TJ Long; and  two special great grandchildren, Justin Aiden Lee and Bailey Rae Lee; numerous nephews and nieces; Roy also leaves behind many hunting friends that he considered family.

 

Roy was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings, Doug Lee, Ray Lee, Judy Lee Sheriff.

 

A Funeral Service will be held 2:00 pm, Tuesday, September 27^th, 2022 at Sandifer Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at First Baptist Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends

6:00 pm – 8:00 pm, Monday, September 26^th, 2022 at Sandifer Funeral Home.
