Robert Stanley Kelley

 

Walhalla, SC— Robert Stanley Kelley, 76, husband of Janet B. Kelley, of Walhalla, passed away on Monday, August 3, 2026, at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

 

A native of Oconee County, SC, Mr. Kelley was the son of the late Joseph Edward and Lillian Beatrice Kelley. Robert will be remembered as a man of honesty, integrity, and strong work values. A skilled custom cabinet builder for more than fifty years, he took great pride in his craftsmanship and dedication to his work. Robert loved music, was a talented singer and musician, enjoyed fishing, and had a deep love for animals, including wildlife. Above all, he was a devoted husband and father whose love for his family was unwavering.

 

A member of Blue Ridge Masonic Lodge #92, Robert believed in giving back to his community through kindness, generosity, and service. His sense of humor, good deeds, and compassionate spirit will be treasured by all who knew him. He will be deeply missed, and his memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.

 

In addition to his beloved wife, Mr. Kelley is survived by his daughters, Julie Kelley and Selena Crowe; his chosen children, Jacob and Taylor Campbell; his grandchildren, Sam Bellotte (Nikki), Kelley Bellotte, Carson Kirby (Konner), Luke Bellotte, and Caroline Bellotte; and his two chosen grandchildren, Scarlett Campbell and Parks Campbell (“Bubs”). He is also survived by his brother, Rev. James E. Kelley (Sue); his brother-in-law, Dalton Vaughn; his sister-in-law, Nancy Campbell; his nephews, Jason (Alyson), Eric (Tiffany), Terry Campbell (Tammy), and Tim Campbell (Annette); and his nieces, Tracy McSwain (Mark) and Shannon Vaughn. Robert also leaves behind cherished neighbors who became like family, Donnie and Donna Curl and Sissy Fowler. The family extends special recognition to Dylan Campbell, Pam Campbell and Brittney Campbell; Ryder and Kyzer; Rod Reid; Roy Harden; and Bryan Bellotte for their friendship, love, and support.

 

In addition to his loving family, he leaves behind his cherished fur babies, Boog, Ruby Lee affectionately known as “Tater” and his beloved senior grand dog, Hazel Mabel.

 

In addition to his parents, Mr. Kelley was preceded in death by his daughter: Beverly Kelley; sister: Betty Vaughn; and niece: Tammy Vaughn.

 

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM, Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Davenport Funeral Home Chapel.
