Robert John Michael

Salem, SC — Robert John Michael, 87, husband of the late Hazel Doreen Potter Michael, of Salem, passed away on Friday, July 5, 2024, at Cottingham Hospice House.

 

A native of Pennsylvania, Mr. Michael was the son of the late Kenneth Alexander and Maxine Jessie Peterman Michael. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, retiring as a Master Sergeant. Mr. Michael was a member of Flat Shoals Baptist Church.

 

Mr. Michael is survived by his sons: Darren Michael (Luise) of Bethel, AK, Carl Michael of Anchorage, AK and Jodie D. Michael of Salem, SC; daughters: Gale C. Norris (Joe) of Tamassee, SC and Lynne New (Darien) of West Union, SC; eight grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.

 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, July 13, 2024, at Davenport Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.

 

A visitation will be held from 1:00 – 2:00 PM, Saturday, prior to the service, at Davenport Funeral Home.
