Robert “Bob” Newton

Westminster – Robert “Bob” Kent Newton, 56, husband of Virginia “Ginger” Wilder Newton, passed away, March 10, 2020, at his residence.

 

Born in Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Milton and Joy Schmidt Newton. Bob was a graduate of Clemson University, he proudly served 16 years in Law Enforcement, and was a Security Guard at Prisma Health Oconee Memorial Hospital.

 

In addition to his wife, Bob is survived by his son, Benjamin “Ben” Newton of the home; daughter, Courtney Newton of Greenville; sisters, Sharon Newton and Sandy Hall, both of Central.   

 

Mr. Newton is preceded in death by his parents.

 

The family will receive friends 6-8 pm, Saturday, March 14, 2020 at the Sandifer Funeral Home. A private Graveside Service will be held at the Ramsey Creek Preserve.
