Retired patrol vehicle donated for students’ studies
Sheriff Mike Crenshaw and Oconee County Administrator Amanda Brock presented the keys for a retired patrol vehicle today to the law enforcement class at the Hamilton Career Center. Having a vehicle that was used in actual law enforcement work should give the law enforcement class students a “hands on” approach when it comes to how a patrol car is used and the features that it contains. Law enforcement-related courses at the career center have been a source of some future Sheriff’s Office employees. The advantages of such courses allow students to help decide if law enforcement is a career they want to pursue. In the least, they satisfy students who simply want to learn more about how policing and 9-1-1 work.
