Retha Collins Anderson

Easley- Retha Collins Cobb Anderson, 80, wife of Paul Anderson, passed away April 20th, 2021, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

 

Born in Oconee County, she was the daughter of the late Benny Franklin Collins and Ina Burton Collins Singleton. Retha was a retired Summary Court Judge for the cities of Westminster and Seneca. She was a dedicated worker, wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, who was fully dedicated to any task she took on. Retha was a member of DayBreak Community Church of Greenville.

 

Retha is survived by her beloved husband, Paul Anderson; a son, Roger E. Cobb of Walhalla; daughters, Katrienia O’Kelley (Chevis) of Westminster, Jessica Suzanne Cope of Westminster; brother, Alton “Poe” Collins (Cora) of Walhalla; sisters, Ella Mae Lee of Westminster, Sara Reid (Billy) of Seneca, Janice Shetler of Seneca; six grandchildren, C.J. O’Kelly of Westminster, Shellie Fassett (Jeremy) of Walhalla, Angela Justice (Austin) of Salem, Hope Cobb of Walhalla, Charlie Mobley of Walhalla; eight great-grandchildren, Breanna Cobb, Destany Cope, David Cope, Luke Fassett, Chase Fassett, Kinsley Fassett, Connor Bowers and Ellie Bowers; sister in law, Connie Snider; brother in law, Michael Anderson; stepdaughter, Bobbie Kirby; stepson, Guy Kirby (Louise); two step-grandchildren, Savannah Kirby, and Sydney Weeks; numerous nephews and nieces.

 

In addition to her parents, Retha is preceded in death by her first husband, Jule Cobb; brothers, Bobby Collins, Clint Collins, Garlon Collins, Jack Collins, Mike Collins, Benji Collins; sisters, Mary McAlister, Maletta Bond, Myrna Collins and Nell Ree Nordella.

 

A Funeral Service will be held 3:00 pm, Sunday, April 25th, 2021 at Sandifer Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Calvary Church of God Cemetery.  The family will receive friends prior to the service 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm, Sunday, April 25th, 2021 at Sandifer Funeral Home.
