Rescue effort ends well on outdoor trail

A woman and her pet dog became temporarily lost yesterday afternoon north of Walhalla during an outdoor outing on the Purple Trail near the Stumphouse Mountain Park. She managed to make a 911 call.  Officials used cell phone coordinates to pinpoint her location and quickly came to her aid.  A responder said she declined medical attention – in spite of the mid to upper 90 degree readings in the vicinity.
