Relief efforts to benefit Oconeeans

The Golden Corner Food Pantry will provide food and water to the public through Friday at two locations:  Mountain Rest Community Club, 120 Verner Mill Road, Mountain Rest from 9 am to noon and in the parking lot of the Salem Fire Department, 115 E. Main Street, Salem from 10 am to 1 pm.  Several groups and organizations have expressed interest to help clean up Clemson neighborhoods.  If you are in need of help and interested, contact Lindsey Newton at [email protected]. This is a volunteer-run project — many of the volunteers are students, so consider what they have to offer as ‘unskilled’ clean-up assistance, according to the city of Clemson.
