Rebecca Whitman Craft

Rebecca Whitman Craft, of Central, South Carolina, and was the beloved wife of Billy R. Craft, passed away on July 27th, 2025, at Prisma Health Oconee Memorial Hospital. She was 80 years old.

Born on August 25th, 1944, in Oconee County, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Gus Nelson and Norie Burton Whitman. She worked for many years at Winn Dixie in both Seneca and West Union and later retired from the United States Postal Service as a rural mail carrier. Known for her warm heart and strong work ethic, Rebecca touched the lives of many in her community. Rebecca had a deep love for bowling and participated in many leagues over the years. She also enjoyed gardening, sewing, and bird watching, always finding joy in the beauty of the outdoors and the simple pleasures of life.

She is survived by her daughter, Kimberley “Kim” Eiland and her husband Mark of South Union; three grandchildren: Lindsey Ramey (Barry), Jonathan Bagwell, and Hunter Eiland (Loren); and four great-grandchildren: Kennedy Bagwell, Tittus Bagwell, Tanner Eiland, and Dakota Eiland.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings: Bobby Whitman, Jimmy Whitman, Roger Whitman, and Marilynn Lusk.

A Funeral Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, August 1st, 2025, at Sandifer Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Rider Mountain PFB Holiness Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Sandifer Funeral Home.
