Professor R. Eugene Nix

Mountain Rest, SC — Professor R. Eugene Nix, 90, of 400 Highland View Drive, Mountain Rest, husband of the late Mary Belle Stanton Crenshaw Nix, passed away Thursday, October 11, 2018 at the Presbyterian Retirement Community of Clinton, SC. Graveside services will be conducted at 10:30 AM on Friday, October 19, 2018 at Bethel Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Walhalla. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, October 19, 2018 at Walhalla Presbyterian Church followed by a luncheon at West Union Presbyterian Church. A Memorial reception will be held from 1:30 PM until 3:30 PM on Sunday, October 21, 2018 at the Presbyterian Retirement Community in Clinton with a Memorial service to follow at 4:00 PM. Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to the Bethel Presbyterian Church Grounds Maintenance, P.O. Box 617, Walhalla, SC 29691. The family is at the home. Davenport Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
