Preventing sexual harassment in the workplace

Senator Lindsey Graham has lent his support to a bill to stop sexual harassment in the workplace.  The South Carolina Republican announced yesterday he has joined New York Democrat Kirsten Gillibrand to offer the Ending Forced Arbitration of Sexual Harassment Act of 2017.  According to Graham’s office, an estimated 60 million Americans are subject to forced arbitration clauses in their employment contracts.  The bill would void forced arbitration agreements that require arbitration of sexual harassment and discrimination claims and allow survivors of sexual harassment of discrimination to seek justice, discuss their cases publicly, and eliminate institutional protection for harassers.
