Pilots organize relief flights to Western, North Carolina
Pilots in Oconee, Anderson, and Pickens counties are organizing relief flights to carry supplies to hard hit sections of Western, North Carolina. Judson Minyard at the Oconee Regional Airport says members of the public are invited to drop off supplies at the Oconee airport, 365 Airport Road, Seneca anytime between 8 am and 6 pm the next several days. Because of weight restrictions, water is not an item that the planes may safely transport. But Minyard says hygiene products are at the top of the list of what they’ll welcome at the drop-off.
