Pickens man charged with lottery fraud
The state police say a Pickens man has been charged with intent to defraud, counterfeit tickets. At the request of the South Carolina Education Lottery, “SLED” investigated and charged Charles Ray Seawright, 47, in incidents July 26 at convenience stores on Sparks Lane and Gentry Memorial Highway, Pickens addresses. According to the arrest warrants, Seawright unlawfully obtained scratch off tickets at one convenience store in Pickens County and at another store redeemed the tickets for cash payouts.
