Pickens City Council Terminates Administrator Tim O’Bryant

Following a unanimous August 19 vote to indefinitely suspend City Administrator Tim O’Bryant with full pay and benefits under Section 7A of his employment agreement, the Pickens City Council ultimately voted 4–3 on Thursday, August 27, 2026, to terminate his employment with cause and authorize the official notice of termination.

Under the final action, O’Bryant will receive no further compensation beyond what he is currently owed, while Mayor Isaiah Scipio declined to discuss the specifics behind the dismissal due to legal and personnel restrictions.
