Paul Benz

Paul Raymond Benz, of Seneca, South Carolina, husband of Lourdes “Pat” Santana Benz, passed away on January 6, 2026, at his residence.

Born in Buffalo, New York, he was the son of the late Raymond Anthony and Pauline Benz. Paul was a United States Army Veteran and previously worked as a district manager with Riteway Services. He was a dedicated cyclist and runner, and competed in many triathlons and Ironman competitions and was very successful in many of the races.  Paul was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church and also attended Seneca Church of God of Prophecy.

Paul is survived by his wife, Lourdes “Pat” Santana Benz; his daughters, Denise Addis and her husband Greg of Seneca, South Carolina, and Lizza Tapia Muszynski and her husband Robert of Seneca, South Carolina; his grandchildren, Taylor Reed (Brandon), Elijah Muszynski (Alexis), Samuel Muszynski (Catie), Lucas Muszynski, Ashley Muszynski, and Regina Muszynski; and three great-grandchildren, Avianna Simpson, Gianna Simpson, and Jaxson Muszynski.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Seneca Church of God of Prophecy. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the church.

The family will be at their respective homes.
