Patsy Lee
Seneca – Patsy June McMahan Lee, 89, wife of 71 years to Rev. Marvin “Rabbit” Lee, arrived at her heavenly home on Sunday, July 7th, 2024 at Prisma Health Oconee Memorial Hospital.
Born March 28th, 1935 in Oconee County, South Carolina, Patsy was the daughter of the late William A. and Lillie Kerr McMahan. Patsy was a dedicated pastor’s wife and prayer warrior and ministered at nine churches alongside her husband. Having received many certificates from the Church of God Ministry, her true passion was being a children’s minister where she led many children to the Lord. She was very involved in the girl’s club ministry and was an active member of Fairview Church of God. She enjoyed books and reading and always believed it was important that all children read and learned to read.
In addition to her husband, Marvin Lee, Patsy is survived by her children, Gary Lee (Nancy) of Irmo, South Carolina, Beverly Lee Turner (Keith) of Newry, South Carolina, Rev. Thomas Lee (Angela) of Gretna, Virginia, Rhonda Lee Harrington (Kerry) of Kingstree, South Carolina, Crystal Powell (Lee) of Kingstree, South Carolina; brother, Calvin McMahan of Virginia; sister, Dorothy James of Aiken, South Carolina; sister-in-law, Doris Carver (Morris) of Seneca, South Carolina. She was a “Mee Maw” to 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; and “Aunt Patsy” to numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Patsy is predeceased by her grandson, Andrew Lee.
A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 pm on Friday, July 12th, 2024 at Newry Church of God with burial to follow in the Courtney Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm, Friday, July 12th, 2024 at Newry Church of God prior to the service.
