Panthers/Falcons Training Camp

The intense summer heat radiated across NFL training camps on Monday, August 10, 2026, forcing both the Atlanta Falcons and Carolina Panthers to ramp up their physical play ahead of this week’s preseason action.    At the Atrium Health Training Facility, things got heated for the Carolina Panthers. Fresh off a 33-30 victory over the Cardinals in the Hall of Fame Game, head coach Dave Canales pushed a physical agenda that resulted in an intense, multi-player brawl.  Quarterback Bryce Young found himself right in the middle of the skirmish, rushing in to back up his teammates. Defensive back Mike Jackson capsulated the defense’s gritty day by laying out to knock down a Young pass later in the session. Despite the chaos, Canales embraced the intensity, noting, “If practice was all kumbaya all day, I’d be a little worried.”  Meanwhile, at the IBM Performance Field in Georgia, the Atlanta Falconsfocused on crucial depth chart updates under head coach Kevin Stefanski. The big news of the day was the official return of right tackle Jawaan Taylor, who was activated off the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list.  On the field, quarterback Tua Tagovailoa continued building his chemistry with star running back Bijan Robinson, who looked explosive during first-team 11-on-11 drills. Defensively, rookies Kendal Daniels and Harold Perkins Jr. took advantage of extra first-team repetitions with linebacker Divine Deablo sidelined by a minor injury. Stefanski continued to implement live tackling, forcing the squad to adapt quickly to full-contact football before hosting the Denver Broncos this Friday.
