On the table, an agreement between Oconee and Sewer Authority

Making its way to the table next week of the Oconee County Council is a proposed agreement covering who is to maintain and operate a sewer lift station and 13.5 miles of trunk line constructed as part of the Sewer South project. Eleven months ago, as county administrator, Scott Moulder approached the Joint Regional Sewer Authority about a partnership arrangement between the county and the JRSA. Seneca had been thought to have been the logical entity to handle the operations and maintenance. Now Moulder, as a first-year Seneca city administrator, represents the city on the JRSA policy-making board. Tuesday night next week County Council is scheduled to take the matter up during an executive session and consider a first and final reading of a resolution afterward in an open session.
